As always, North Texas had an incredibly showing at ICSC’s RECon 2012 event, with virtually every major player well represented. Along with the brokerages, developers, and ownership groups, Dallas-Fort Worth retailers were out in full force, including 7-Eleven, GameStop, Genghis Grill, and Sally Beauty Supply.

It appeared that Texas had the most economic development groups on hand; local participants included the City of Dallas (which welcomed officials from Allen and other North Texas cities), Forney, Grapevine, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Little Elm, and Terrell.

Here’s a sampling of other DFW participants: Bright Realty, CBRE, CNL Commercial, Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, Cypress Equities, Falcon Realty Advisors, Henry S. Miller, Howard Hughes Corp. Hunt Properties, The John Bowles Co., Jones Lang LaSalle, Lincoln Property Co., Marcus & Millichap, The MG Herring Group, NorthPark Center, Quine & Associates, RED Development, The Retail Connection, SRS Real Estate Partners, Sundance Square, Trademark Property Co., Trammell Crow Co., Transwestern, United Commercial Realty, Venture Commercial Real Estate, The Weitzman Group, and The Woodmont Co.

The Weitzman Group's Marshall Mills and Herb Weitzman take a quick break from wall-to-wall meetings.

CBRE's ICSC booth draws a crowd.

Alan Shor, Steve Lieberman, and Steve Zimmerman of The Retail Connection.

The City of Dallas talked up North Texas in the "Cities of the World" pavilion.

The John Bowles Co.'s Taylor LeMaster, Steven Davis, John Bowles, Mike Cagle, and Michael Tran.

With its tower entrance, Cousins Properties' booth was easy to spot.

Terrell Chamber of Commerce President Danny Booth touted the "gateway to East Texas."

John Zikos takes a quick break from deal-making.

Forest City had a large gateway presence in the Central Hall.

Frank Bullock of SRS Real Estate Partners describes RECon 2012 as "bumper-to-bumper" action.

Colliers International hosts a late-afternoon happy hour.

UCR's Rebecca Smolik and Janie French hold down the fort.
