Michael W. Davis has Behringer Harvard as institutional sales director. In his new role, he’s responsible for developing institutional channel distribution strategies for the firm’s existing and expanding product portfolio, including sales of alternative and direct investments.

Frank Muller, executive vice president, said Davis’ experience in business development and raising capital through registered investment advisers will help the company continue to grow and expand its alternative investments platform.

A 20-year industry veteran, Davis most recently was director of investor relations for Gorelick Bros. Capital in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to that he was managing director and head trader, debt capital markets for National City Bank in Cleveland.

He also was a director and trader in the portfolio risk management group of JPMorgan/Bank One Capital Markets Inc. in Chicago, and held posts at Deerfield Capital Management, PPM America Inc., Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Company, Cohen Financial Corp., and Kenneth Leventhal & Co. He has an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago and a BBA from the University of Michigan.
