Quaker Steak & Lube is expanding to include a new franchise restaurant in Waco and three corporate-owned locations in Carrollton, Plano, and North Dallas. The motor-themed chain specializes in chicken wings and other pub fare.
The first North Texas eatery is slated to open in Waco in the next month, with Carrollton coming online in September, and the others opening before the end of the year or in early 2013.
“The expansion of The Lube in and around Dallas-Fort Worth is another step in our plans to double our footprint over the next several years,” said John Longstreet, president and chief executive officer of Quaker Steak & Lube, in a statement.
The 38-year-old company, whose restaurants have a motor-themed atmosphere, has 50 existing locations in 15 states and Canada. In addition to the Texas expansion, it plans to open 12 new restaurants this year in northern New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Collectively, the Pennsylvania-based company serves more than 80 million wings each year. It also offers burgers, ribs, steaks, salads, and sandwiches.
