KDC has broken ground on a 142,000-square-foot corporate and divisional headquarters for Tyler Technologies Inc. in Plano. The new campus will sit on 26 acres at 5101 Tennyson Pkwy.
It includes a three-story, 82,000-square-foot office building connected via a walkway to a 60,000-square-foot, two-story former YMCA building, which is being renovated into a courts and justice product development center. That building also will house shared services, including a fitness center and a café.
John S. Marr Jr., Tyler’s president and CEO, said the single campus will provide an amenity-rich environment for employees and support the growth the company currently is experiencing.
The new campus is slated for completion in August of 2013. At that time, Tyler Technologies will consolidate its Courts and Justice division operations, currently at 6500 International Pkwy. in Plano, and its current headquarters at 5949 Sherry Lane in Dallas.
KDC is the developer and will oversee construction. HKS Architects is the project designer for the new headquarters, and Hill & Wilkinson is the general contractor. BLUM Consulting Engineers Inc., Brockette, Davis & Drake Engineers, and TBG Landscape Architects also are working on the project.
