NYLO has announced that its Dallas South Side hotel is set to open in mid-August at 1325 S. Lamar St. at Belleview. The opening caps a renovation of the 101-year-old former Dallas Coffin Co. building into a 76-room boutique hotel.
It will be NYLO’s third North Texas property, joining others in Las Colinas and Plano. The Dallas venue marks the company’s first local conversion project, and the first to seek LEED certification.
Among the amenities: SODA Bar, a rooftop infinity pool and glass-enclosed lounge featuring views of downtown Dallas; and Terrace Bistro, a lobby-level restaurant. The hotel also will feature indoor meeting space and a 4,500-suqare-foot rooftop terrace for hosting special events.
NYLO Dallas South Side sits between South Side on Lamar and Gilley’s Dallas, about three blocks from the Dallas Convention Center. It’s the latest South Side area project for Matthews Southwest and its CEO, Jack Matthews.
