The owner of Bryan Tower and other North Texas office properties has decided to bring leasing of its Dallas assets in-house. Andrew Schendle will manage leasing for Spire Realty Group; he’ll be assisted by Allison Johnston, who recently joined the company.
Peloton Commercial Real Estate previously provided leasing services.
Spire owns more than 2 million square feet of Dallas office space. Along with Bryan Tower, other properties include 500 E. John Carpenter, Mockingbird Towers, Park Stemmons and The Spire, a 12-acre development planned near the Arts District.
“Given the competitive environment and our significant development projects under way, we believe that an in-house team will give us a closer connection to the market, and will allow us to provide enhanced services to our tenants and prospective tenants,” said Caleb Smith, owner and president of Spire Realty Group, in a statement. Smith said that Peloton will continue to lease the company’s City Place property in Fort Worth.
Jon Ruff, senior vice president at Spire, said the expansion of the firm’s business model should improve its effectiveness. “Our reputation as a responsive building owner is often what sets us apart,” he said.

Spire should just build apartments on the lot they own at Ross and Routh (across from the Arts apartments) while they wait for their big lead office tenant.
