Novitas Solutions, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, has leased 19,833 square feet of office space in the Abrams Centre at East LBJ Freeway from Tremont Realty Capital LLC.

Tremont recently completed more than $1 million in renovations to the building, including work on the lobby, deli, restrooms, and elevator cabs.

“We recognized the asset needed an upgrade in order to actively compete in the market,” said Dennis Walsh, senior director of Tremont, in a statement. “Despite the typical slow summer season, we are closing deals, seeing increased leasing activity, and are confident in our ability to compete for tenants.”

More than 10,000 square feet in lease deals are in the process of being negotiated, Walsh said, plus another 40,000 to 50,000 square feet of active prospects.
