Geno Coradini

Jones Lang LaSalle has promoted Geno Coradini to Retail Market Lead, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its retail services across the country. Coradini will oversee operations in the Southwest Region, which includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Services include tenant representation, agency leasing, and asset management.

“In the past, Jones Lang LaSalle focused solely on leasing and managing traditional malls,” said Greg Maloney, president and CEO of JLL’s Americas Retail group. “Now more and more owners are asking us to bring our expertise and best practices to other aspects of retail.”

The firm leases or manages about 6 million square feet of retail space in the Southwest region, including Uptown Village at Cedar Hill locally, as well as Highland Mall in Austin and Rivercenter Mall in San Antonio.

Coradini said the region is “very competitive,” but offers “tremendous potential.” He said he’s planning to add to his team to help grow business in Texas and throughout the Southwest. “We see a great opportunity to increase our presence and help our retail clients  in these markets.”

He joined the firm in 2008, shortly after JLL acquired The Standard Group, a large Chicago-based retail firm. Prior to that, Coradini was a managing director at FedEx Kinko’s and a divisional vice president with Family Dollar Stores.

According to JLL’s most recent Retail Outlook report, Dallas continues to perform well, with across-the-board increases in occupancy when compared to the previous year.
