A former Sports Authority property in Plano has been acquired by Dark Shadows Entertainment. The company is planning an entertainment center that will offer murder-mystery dinners, corporate meeting space, private functions, musical specials, and weddings and seasonal events such as fall festivals and Halloween and Christmas fares.

Kathryn DeSautell is general manager. “Creating an entertainment venue that accommodates so many varied types of productions is an extremely challenging yet rewarding opportunity,” she said in a statement.

The 47,000-square-foot property at 701 Taylor Drive was marketed by Terry Syler and Scott Rose of The Retail Connection. Shawn Loney and Greg Trout with Henry S. Miller Brokerage represented Dark Shadows Entertainment in its buy. Finish out work is expected to begin next month.
