Hillwood Communities had a burst of year-end activity, closing on 11 acquisitions in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Jose, Calif.; and Jackson Hole, Wyo.

During 2012, the residential developer acquired more than 1,000 acres, completed 500 lots, and began development of 600 additional lots.

Hillwood’s seven North Texas land buys include:

• Five parcels in Northlake, totaling 675 acres for 1,743 proposed lots

• One tract in Lucas totaling 136 acres for 206 half-acre lots

• One tract in Fate, 62 acres in the Woodcreek community for 228 lots
