Tradition Senior Living LP will break ground Thursday on The Tradition-Lovers Lane, a high-end senior living community. The development will feature a 202-unit independent living complex, designed by Houston-based Meeks + Partners, at the corner of Matilda and Milton streets. It also includes a 109-unit assisted living/memory care facility next door, designed by Dallas-based D2 Architecture LLC.
Jonathan Perlman, founder and CEO of Tradition Senior Living, said the project is expected to open in June 2014.
It will be the company’s second project. The first, The Tradition-Prestonwood, a 220-unit independent living facility on Prestonwood Boulevard, opened in 2010 and is nearly full.
Like that property, the Lovers Lane facility will be built by TSL’s construction arm, Four Suns Construction LLC and managed by Tradition Management LLC. Amenities include four courtyards, underground parking, wellness programs and fitness areas, and an indoor pool.
A marketing center for the new community will open in April at Lovers Lane and Matilda Street.
